I am a big fan of sweaters on dogs and the wonderful options. When it gets a little cold my bichon / Maltese came looking for some extra heat. The more colorful the better, and now my two dogs with matching green, orange, gray and pink striped, black and red jerseys with their growing wardrobe. Kenji that my japanese / Chihuahua cross or also called a Chinwa loves his sweaters and gets very excited when I'm in.
I'm not a fashion mogul but I think it's really nice to walk my dog in matching colors, and if the boys are wearing their red and navy design I always try to find a top that is fit right in. There are also plenty of fun and definitely get a positive reaction, even from the toughest leader of truck drivers over.
So many dog owners do not realize how cold their four-legged friends can get especially if they are like my Cino (short for Cappacino) that require regular clipping. I figured if we feel the cold, so they and completely ignore the old school of thought that a dog does not need clothes.
When we go outside in the rain, we wear a raincoat and the same goes for my precious boys. Cino really hates rain and will be more than happy to be covered up so he can get that all important walk without getting wet.
At night I dress them up in their reflective safety vests that, and allow others to see us go when they pass, where I live some busy roads. I prefer to take no risk in my little thugs and find the jackets are very safety conscious and practical.
Have fun to dress the dog is something we all can enjoy and make our own personal touch. Now my boys are their hoodies on and looked like something from a gangster movie. When we step out of our circumstances we always seem to draw attention to our fashion chic. My dog is hot and so cute as a button inside and out
