Tips what you can do to help your cat slim down

As a volunteer for my local shelter, I see lots of cats, both young and old. Our primary concern is to find warm, loving home for a bad cat. Our secondary concern for the overall health of the animals. This is especially important for those who are not immediately adopted.

Cats like other animals, face malnutrition due to abuse or ignorance. Many pet parents want to pamper their pets with an extra servings of the foods that we find good people. Unfortunately, such practices are no more harm than good for the animal.

In the shelter and look at many ways to help cats shed excess weight. One approach is the diet where we dampen portions and moderate fat meals, but chose to leaner meals that can flex our budget.

Another approach is in the vicinity of the exercise. One of our favorite ways to get your cat moving with cat trees and cat toys. They can provide endless hours of fun as well as comfort for each animal.

Cat trees available in a wide range of styles and sizes to fit most any budget. In the shelter, where we have high ceilings, we selected high cabinets that rest on the floor, but uses the ceiling to stabilize the structure.

Each cat tree offers cats to scale vertical surfaces and climb or jump. The horizontal space to hide or rest. Many cats also have trees hanging toy as a mouse or rope. Cats love this track moving parts to push prey.

We try each animal from its enclosure and containment room and come out in open public areas. This gives them another outlet for exercise and exploration. Often it is merely different forms of stimulation are needed to help big cats slim.
