Do you want to know History of Siamese cats?

Siamese cats are a unique breed. As the name suggests, they were originally bred in Siam (now Thailand). Very popular, many Siamese cats could be found even in the palaces of kings. They were considered lucky, and their presence was said to be evil.
It was in the late nineteenth century, Siamese went to Europe, given as gifts in the English military leaders. It did not take long for Siamese cats to the U.S. where they are now one of the most respected and recognizable breeds. They are not only popular pet, you will always see the variety is well represented in cat shows.
Siamese distinctive in appearance. The average size of a cat, as small as about 6 pounds on the lighter side and as much as about 16 at the heavier side, their coats especially bright colors like brown or white with dark markings around the face, ears, tail and legs. They tend to be light colored, almond-shaped eyes. They are very beautiful cats.
Siamese have strong, muscular, and most have rounded heads (although many are slender, have long faces). Their peculiar appearance is underlined by the points of color on their coats. Their unique personalities are highlighted by their extreme social bent towards people and their ability to understand. My Siamese tells me that when she is hungry by knocking stuff tables. As annoying as this can at times she seems to effortlessly express its position.
They are playful and talkative. For those people who appreciate the communicative nature of Siamese wonderful pets. For those who do not, they can seem a bit noisy and needy. Like most cats, they have a tendency toward nocturnal activity that can be disruptive to sleep if you allow them into your bedroom at night.
When people are around, they tend to want to shut down and either play or cuddle his. They can never seem to have enough attention. There is no ignoring a Siamese. But there is nothing as relaxing as a purring cat cuddled on his lap, a pastime of mine who loves Siamese.
Their need for attention to the destruction, they do not require great care. Their short, silky coat requires very little brushing, and like other cats, they are persistent and thorough self-trimmers. Independence of the cats in general makes them a good choice of pet for people who do not spend much time at home.
Siamese cats make great pets, especially if you have children in your household. These cats are usually loving, relatively patient and loyal animals and they make decent playmates (as far as cats go). They are open and willing to accept love and attention, even in small children.
They are generally robust and healthy breed. With regular veterinary care and proper nutrition, you can expect your Siamese to live for a good 15 years, sometimes 20 or more
