Is it advisable to give bath to a kitten

If you have a kitten and plan to leave them out or put them at cat shows, you should get them used to taking a bath. Most cats keep themselves clean and do not usually need a bath, but it does not hurt to get them used to the process. If a cat does not get used to swim and you end up giving them one, it can be a difficult and unpleasant time for both you and your cat.
When giving your cat a bath, keep them firm but do not make them feel trapped. It can also help if you have a second person to help you. You can do the washing while your helper hold the cat calm and happy.
Bathe your cat in the sink is probably the best idea. It is easier for you to keep them without hurting your back. Keep the water warm and have several bowls of water ready, because doing the faucet or spray can scare your cat. You can have a bit of water run when necessary, but not water blast. You probably should not plug the sink for the bath, cats usually do not like a lot of standing water, keep it on a shower kitty. Keep swimming short, never take longer than five minutes if you do not want your cat to bite or scratch.
Dry your cat with a soft towel immediately. Be careful when drying them. Some cats do not mind being dried with a hairdryer, but many cats dislike the high noise and air blowing on them.
Do not give your cat baths too often or they'll just dry skin and coat. Cats do not usually need your help bathing unless they are really dirty on the outside, there are problems with flea market, or if you are inserting them into a cat show.
