Green anole lizards as pets
Anole is available at most major pet centers and usually costs about $ 10 or less. A native species in the southeastern United States, green anole is one of many types of anole. They grew to about six or seven inches long and has an average lifespan of 3-5 years. Their official species name anolis carolinensis, which means an anole native to the Carolina Region of the United States.

Perhaps the most fascinating aspects of anole is their ability to change color. Usually, their color shifts reflect their changing body temperature. They can vary from a medium brown with a vibrant green light within a minute or two. This is an amazing process to watch!
While these small lizards are solitary creatures who do not have a special need for companionship, you can house a few women together, or a man and a woman or two. Never house two males together unless vivarium too large. Male anole is territorial and fight, so it is best to avoid holding more than one man at a time.
