Meeting the Whole Family of Pond Turtles

There are two types of pond turtles in the world. The subspecies is the first turtle Emydidae. Emydidae species are the largest family of turtles. It has 40 species and 12 genera. Family members are widely distributed in North America, northern South America and Europe. They are mostly freshwater turtles.

Some turtles belonging to the Emydidae turtle species:

The following is the Clemmys. Clemmys is one of a kind of turtle pond with a North American species.

Here are some of Clemmys species belonging to the turtle:

1. Spotted turtle like to live in shallow water, marshes, meadows and forests flows in the U. S. Although this turtle can be kept as a pet, it is now against the law because their men begin to disappear.

2. Wood turtle is perfectly appointed and spend most of his time in a wooded area so it's semi-aquatic, and I swim in streams, ponds and rivers.

3. Western pond turtle, also known as Turtle Pond Pacific Ocean, its natural color is brown to olive drab and the origin of these turtles in Baja California, Mexico.

4. Bog turtle is a turtle native to North America. It is one of the smaller cold-blooded animals therefore now considered endangered.

This pond turtles can be very shy and reserved at times and they often hide their heads under their shells when approached by humans. Within a few seconds, she will slowly go out of their little heads out of their shells and check their area if there's something to eat nearby, remember that overeating can lead to obesity and may even cause premature death.

Some of these turtles have started to disappear due to human negligence and poor care. They can be different but they all need something to us, and our love. Keep in mind that they are all our care and attention for them to a healthy and lasting relationships with our family lives. These turtles can be good companions for a long period of time.
