Moving can be hard with Cats

Moved to a difficult situation to go for each member of your family, including your cat. To move in the near future a number of things you should consider to ensure your cat's health is not compromised. Do not forget to think about your furry friends when you move!
Only if you're packing for the move, it might be a good idea to confine your cat to a single room with a friend or family member watch your cat for the day. Movers are often caring heavy loads such as sofas and refrigerators, so they are not where they need to watch out. Your curious kitty can climb into the moving van or boxes and are stored! If your cat is totally an indoor cat, they open doors, while your stuff is also a concern because it is easy for a dog bolt out the door.
Approximately one month before you go, your cat wears a collar of his or her full time, although you usually the collar on your cat. All his or her information should be updated and the tags should reflect your new address. When cats are confused, they tend to drive, and a lost cat in a new district may not be able to have their way home easily. If your cat needs certain medications can be very dangerous. By having his or her wear a collar at all times, at least until he or she gets used to the new location, you can ensure that your cat has come home, if you lose.
During the move itself, so do not forget special accommodation for your cat to do. A cat carrier that is well ventilated is a necessity, and if the trip will be more than a few hours, you also need food, water and litter to your cat with you. Cats not accustomed to riding in cars can get sick, talk to your vet about ways to prevent this. Alternatively, the carrier with blankets for a little extra security for your cat as a stressed-heavy, noisy traffic or construction areas to give.
Remember that you need a new vet in your new neighborhood. This should be a top priority for you if you are moving, and you should speak with your current vet about having your cat's medical records transferred to a new location.
