Pet Allergies

There are many people who want to own a cat, but something stands in the way: allergy. Pet allergies are one of the most common allergy in humans. There are several known causes of allergies in cats. The two most common are those caused by skin flakes shed by animals through when they shed their fur. The second is known as a glycoprotein Fel d 1, secreted by sebaceous glands in the cat. Transmitted by saliva, it is in their fur when they groom themselves. If you or someone you live with is allergic to cats, can you believe that you can never be yourself. This is far from the truth! There are several ways to control your cat allergy, and if you know many other people who do not wish to be bound by a regime of drugs and sprays, you can still make your own furry friend.
Before you start looking for your new furry friend, please check with your doctor and pinpoint exactly what causes your allergies. This will help you to find out what type of cat to get it as an allergy to fur, for example, go to a cat with less or no fur! If it is caused by saliva on the other hand, look at breeds like Siberian less of the allergen in their saliva. Remember that some people become insensitive to their allergy if they are willing to take some discomfort for a while to like, let nothing stand in the way of your new cat.
What may begin as a severe allergy, such as swollen eyes apparently closed, over time shows excess watery eyes or a runny nose.
One of the best ways to do this is to choose the right cat breed to own. Different breeds of cats have less allergy-causing dander and skin than other breeds. Cats are safer for owners Cornish Rex, LaPerm, Sphynx, Oriental Shorthair and Devon Rex. These races are safer for yourself if you have allergies than other breeds because their fur has fewer layers. That means less scaly and less fur flying around, so people with allergies are able to wear them better. The hairless variety may also solve the problem, but it works best if you have only a slight allergy, but because the problem is in the skin and saliva, not fur. Sphinx cat is one of the most popular breeds that people think will help allergies, all you have to ensure your specific allergy coat, not in saliva otherwise your problem will get worse, not better!
Other breeds of cats as the Siberian less risk of allergies because their saliva is not very high levels of Fel D1. Siberian does not have very high levels of this protein, and therefore they believed safer for yourself if you have allergies.
Finally, there hypoallergenic cats, cats that are bred to be hypoallergenic characteristics, such as a lack of allergenic protein or coat different show. However, the companies behind these cats come under fire for everything from delivering an unsatisfactory cat being accused of assault and threats. If you are looking for these cats, very careful about where you buy your cat and make sure everything is safe for your money back or on the legal side of things and that ethics aside for, it's still a very gray area in the development and cat is not guaranteed to help you but it can definitely work for some people.
Cat allergies are some of the most common allergies and one of the most heartbreaking allergies out there, especially if you or your family treasures. But if you do your homework, you find that your options are not as limited as you thought they were. Want a cat? Have your allergies stop you, go and your furry friend!
