Seizures in cats

Seizures in cats can happen and happen more often than most cat owners are aware of.
This is a condition that many experts did not happen in cats, but in the last three to four years the medical community now recognizes that it can do and actually doing it occurs in cats as in dogs.
Recent studies on animal brains have conclusively shown that your cat companion can suffer from strokes, or perhaps a stroke. And experts will also tell you that there is no medication to prevent stroke your cat, or is there?
The Stoke is a very serious condition, and the thought that your cat may actually have suffered a stroke is terrifying. But while it is proven that cats actually suffer strokes, they will not so serious in your cat, as they are in humans. In humans there are two main types of stroke, ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, and then each of these types of stroke have different subclass, all with varying degrees of severity.
In cats, your cat is suffering from the same two main types, but they are not as serious as they are in humans. It is also reassuring that there is growing evidence that B class of vitamins, especially B6 and B12, help to reduce the risk of stroke in people to reduce, and these same nutrients can affect your cat to have.
A stroke in cats is caused when blood flow to the brains of your pet being disturbed by the vessels that supply blood to the brains, and this is considered a cerebral hemorrhage, is brain cells, causing your cat really die within minutes from this accident.
If the blood supply to your cat is reduced and the supply of both oxygen and glucose to stop, killing those cells. With cats, this can happen in two ways.
The first way is if these blood vessels become blocked by itself, and is called a stroke, or when the actual blood vessel, breaks, and thus causes the blood to leak into the brains, called a hemorrhagic stroke.
For your cat, they know what the biggest threat would get the fight, will from ischemic type of stroke, because it provides more than 80 percent of all strokes in cats.
With ischemic stroke, has your cat had a blockage of blood flow to the brains of a ship that was probably blocked by fatty tissue that line the walls. This ensures that both the brains cells and tissues to actually die in a few minutes from lack of oxygen and nutrients, as it depends on properly.
In this type of stroke, a blood clot or evolved in the blood vessels in the brains, or elsewhere in the body of the animal. If it's brains, it is a thrombotic stroke, as in another part of the body, it is an embolic stroke.
A thrombotic stroke is happening in your cat is like a blood clot called a thrombus, develops in an artery that supplies blood directly to the brains. Thrombotic stroke occurs most often in older cats who have high cholesterol or fat and lipids build up in the walls of the vessels.
These types of success was probably preceded by a series of very small strokes, called transient ischemic stroke that you, the owner would have had no knowledge of ever happening. These guys will usually save your older cat very suddenly, and generally occur while they sleep.
That your cat has diabetes and the risk of this type of stroke is much higher because many experts believe that this disease is a major contribution to a stroke.
The type of embolic stroke occurs when blood clots formed somewhere other than the brains, but has the same effect. This type of ischemic stroke can be caused by a heart murmur or a fibrillation of the heart.
Hemorrhagic Stokes, the remaining 20 percent of strokes in cats. When a vessel ruptures in your cat gets the artery is essentially bleeding in your friend's cat brains, cutting off the supply of oxygen. This also causes the cat tissue around the blood vessels to swell and very irritable.
An intracerebral hemorrhage occurs when blood vessels that lie within the brain drain and enter the brains, and a subarachnoid hemorrhage is bleeding in the area between the brains and the real brains of the membranes that cover your dog.
Most of us know the symptoms of a stroke is happening in humans, and there will be either a hanging facial muscles on one side of the face, or a total paralysis of one side of the body.
For your cat, symptoms will be completely different.
The most common symptoms you should look after your cat has a stroke, you can see a very regular pattern of your cat tilt or turn your head, a sudden loss of vision or loss of balance, without any apparent reason.
If your cat suddenly starts turning in circles and fall, it is perhaps the most telling sign, and you must immediately seek medical attention. Most vets will now recognize that cats can actually suffer a stroke, and can perform tests on their brains. With the help of imaging that can quickly determine if your pet has had a stroke.
Although no known cure or prevention of a stroke, there is plenty of recent evidence that B class of vitamins, especially vitamin B6 and B12, can help prevent a stroke in cats. Class B vitamins lower blood levels of homocysteine, an amino acid in the blood
There are also recent studies have shown that high levels of homocysteine may be one of the leading causes of blood clots and artery problems, and other cardiovascular problems. Although there is no conclusive evidence that these vitamins reduce the effects of a stroke or how severe a blow can be prevented, there are strong indications that in most cases help to prevent recurrent strokes.
Recurrent stroke will occur in about 25 percent of all cases in Stoke your cat and helps build their immune system is something that is very easy to do by addition of these two vitamins.
Recovery from a stroke your cat, all depending on how severe it is. Most cats recover, but helps them in preventing a recurrent stroke is something that all cat owners should consider.
